When done right, a custom computer can be a work of art. Some people prefer their gaming systems to be made from whatever material is available, while others choose to spend a lot of time customizing every little detail. The internet has seen computers without chassis go viral, computers that fit the body of a PlayStation 3, and even computers with ridiculous casings like a cereal box. Preamble of the glass enclosures

The selection criteria for the following showcases are based on the aesthetics and popular opinion of users. We will use the word ATX to name the chassis (Extended Advanced Technology, for its acronym in English). The ATX is available in a wide variety of configurations. The ATX Tower is a traditional desktop computer case, while the miniATX is a more compact design for desktop computers and the microATX is for smaller components.

Additionally, all chassis come standard with 2 USB 3.0 ports, line-in, line-out, and power. If a frame has something unique, it will mention it, so if it doesn't mention anything, it's probably a traditional one. Likewise, lights are only mentioned when they have made an effort to make them. We assume there will be no lighting options if the packaging doesn't mention them.

The Case Phanteks Enthoo Luxe has an aluminum assembly, with a hinged tempered glass panel. The faceplates can be sandblasted (in fact it is already equipped with the company brand Sandblasted). Thermaltake Core Series chassis are a stackable solution with a glass panel. It is expensive and easy to maintain, but does not have the flexibility of the P series.

Production and components

The Core x5 features dual 4mm tempered glass panels for easy viewing. Supports Thermaltake cooling and lighting from first use. In addition, it is optimized for liquid cooling.

The power button has 4 customizable lighting settings, but that's about it. This is a device more focused on ventilation than lighting. While lighting isn't supported out of the box, these types of designs typically require a single LCD strip at the bottom to illuminate the inside of the chassis.


Enthoo Evolv's ports are the two standard USB 3.0, plus line in and line out behind a small switch at the top of the front panel.

5. Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mglass

Production and components

The Enthoo Pro M chassis features a brushed aluminum exterior and a clean interior with hidden power supplies and HDDs. The side panel is made of tempered glass. It is similar to the Evolv, although it has a single-sided glass panel, which can be removed and replaced with screws. In addition, it comes with an optical control cell that you can easily remove if you want to increase the space or install something else. The radiator bracket is designed in such a way that it does not interfere with memory and has a reservoir and slot for liquid cooling.


This case does not have factory lighting, but is compatible with Phanteks LED strips and RGB motherboards.

The Suppressor F31 has everything that Thermaltake X5 has, with the added benefit of vertical GPU support.
